By mine railway into the mine

Deep in the silver mine, a 90-minute guided tour will give you a fascinating insight into the important role played by Schwaz during the Middle Ages, when miners prospected the mine for silver and copper. The temperature in the mine is a constant 12 degrees – we recommend that you wear good shoes and appropriate clothing. There is space for about 40 people on the mine railway, which takes you 800 metres down.

Guided tour for groups

With groups of 20 people or more, we recommend booking in advance, online or by phone, to avoid long waiting times. If the group is larger than 40 people, a group will be divided into two or more trains that will enter and leave the mine at intervals of about 10-20 minutes.
